Will love you even after I die

The smell of death is coming from all quarters
And here is a life that still  can't understand what it is to be alive
She is running with all her spirit
Ignoring all the eyes that are trying to stare through her
Pushing aside the hands
That are trying to hold her
To own her
She has to reach her little one
Who stays across the sea
She has to reach there before death engulfs her own mortal self
To embrace her precious little one
And to tell her
That she loves her dearly
And will continue to love her
Even after death engulfs her own mortal self

Nothing that can stop me now

 Stunned by the world
No words to utter
No moves to make
In complete stillness
There is nothing that matters

Friends call, we talk
We are shouting but still
Unable to hear each other
It is two different worlds
There is nothing more to say

Strangers come, they talk
They probe, they check
Can you play the part in their
Fantasy game
There is nothing I can offer

I shed myself of my outer covering by
I don't feel the chill anymore
There is more fire
That is burning within
There is nothing that can stop me now

The smell of death

The smell of death is sweeping in through the courtyard
I breath it in slowly
Awful in the beginning
But as it slowly enters
My whole body
Reaching each cells
It ignites a fresh flame of light
Of  a new life
With a sweet fragrance
Vivid colours and splendid hues
Love life

Fear

I saw the fear in her eyes
It was unbelievable
How could she be afraid?
She always walked boldly
Through the crowd,
on the stage and through the dark  alleys
I looked deeper into her eyes
But couldn't recognise the fear
And walked back fearlessly
Unaware of the calamity
That is claiming lives, all around me!

Me

I looked for someone
To hold my hand
A shoulder to lean on
Who would love
Support, encourage
And lead me by his hand
But I realized
That person was within me
That I had to be my true partner!

Gratitude

Walking purposefully
towards the parijatha plant
I plucked a tender branch
Without any care
As I crushed the leaves in the mortar
To take its juice
I paused for a moment
And realized how much effort
Had gone into its forming
Which was so effortlessly
Plucked and crushed
To savor it for my life.
Gratitude to the universe!

Again

Death strikes again
Life comes to a standstill
You feel the silence
The unfairness
We look at ourselves
And ponder
Are we living
A borrowed life
Was it his chance
To be alive
That we borrowed
How can life be so cruel
To a young wife
Couldn’t death have come to me
And not him ?

She wished

She wished someone cuddled her
without crushing her
That someone held her
Without owning her
That someone spoke to her
Straight from their heart
That someone looked at her
Not her body but her soul!! 

the door

The door banged right on her face
She was jolted
It was all too sudden
She stared into the darkness
Her heart numb
And empty !!

Cradle

As I lay down
With my bleeding heart
And pain gushing out
Emptying me
Letting go of
Every feeling
Every thought
I feel the Mother Earth
Swinging me
In her cradle
Making me sleep
Like a child
Unaware of
The world around!

blanket

Wrapped in the blanket of love
She slept peacefully
In the moonlit night
Suddenly she was thrown
Into the wild
Among the thorny bushes
Without the blanket
The world pierced through her!!!

She

There is blood, there is pain
She goes weak,
On her knees, she cries
Her loud shrieks
Echoing in the world
Can life only hurt? 

Failure

When you failed in everything
When you have nothing to show to the world
When you accept defeat
When you don’t see any hope
When even god abandons you
You succesfully live a failed life !!
